Yesterday, I went to school earlier to change into band uniform for speech day, then we WAITED and WARMED UP and SET UP, then stood there playing for about 10 minutes, and then left. Seriously, it was quite a waste of time. After speech day, Xinyi, Jolyn, Ee Iyn and the woodwinds went for batch brunch, and left me, dot and samlee alone :( Samlee and Dot went soon, but I sat there waiting and waiting. Adelle, Kaiyuit, Lilian, Beiqing, SamAng and Sherm came and went, and I sat there waiting for my mum. At last, she arrived at 11.15 am (hooray...) when she promised to come at 10.30am >.<

Anyway, my mum, my dad, my friend and her mum went to Seoul Gardens, then met my brother and his buddy there. We were the first customers :D So, we ate, and my dad kept telling us not to take 'cheapo' items like rice, but my brother took it anyway O.o After a while, the people flooded in, and seriously, some people were so kiasu. They took mounds of meat and ice-cream and rice, and seriously, they behaved as though they were in some take-as-many-as-you-can-otherwise-there-will-be-none-left contest. LOL.

After brunch, we split up. My brother, his buddy and my dad went to his lab, and me, mum and our friends went to visit some China kiddos, the reason being they are on a school trip, and their lodging is terrible, so one of their parents, who is my mum's friend, told my mum to go over and settle it. So, for about 2 hours, my mum was there arguing with the teachers, and my friend and I were so bored we started telling ghost stories :)

When my mum finally settled it, we went to West Mall to buy some bird's nest and health products for my mum's friend to bring back to China for us. Ended up buying two new bags for me and my friend :)) Our mothers also each got themselves a box of bird's nest! Then my dad called, so we drove to turf city to buy steaks and mangosteens and hash browns. We finally reached home at 7.30 pm, and I was still in my band skirt! xD My dad made 6 steak dinners (he is vegetarian, but can cook really good steaks without tasting), and after dinner, we lounged about, watching TV. At 10 pm, we sent our friends to the airport, and my mum was frantically searching for durian candy there. In the end, we couldn't find any, so she bought this HUGE box of kuehs and stuff at Bengawan Solo for our friends to bring home. At last, they decided to check in, and after a tearful goodbye (for my mum anyway), we went back home.

Now, my mum just sent my brother's buddy back to school (he stayed the night). He is quite polite, and extremely resembles my cousin! I decided that Chinese boys are less rowdy than Singaporean guys :))))

I am missing her.
